A little bit about

Our client wanted an extension to his house and to re-design the kitchen, lounge and dining room to all flow together. The lamp pictured below was the inspiration for the design. Amanda worked with the client to produce something that truly represented his personality.

Project Details

Client Mr. X

Date December 2017

The Lamp

This is the lamp that inspired the whole project.

The Lounge

This area was enlarged by removing the kitchen and making it into a smaller utility space, which allowed us to square the room off.  The window used to be centred, which will allow you to see how much the floor area was increased by. The chimney and fireplace is also a new addition, set in the centre of the larger room, to give heat to both dining space and lounge. This concrete effect was achieved with FR plaster.

The Dining Room

This area is at the other side of the fireplace and sits neatly outside the kitchen. The lamp and original painting are the inspiration for this design and is influenced by Mondrian, an artist our client loves. The shelves were designed by Amanda and created by Brian, another service we offer, which fits into the overall scheme. We also fitted pocket doors, so as not to eat into the spaces we created

The Kitchen

This is a Howdens kitchen with Fired Earth tiles, Amtico flooring and spot lighting. We tried to incorporate the design in the lounge/diner with a modern kitchen, which the client is over the moon with.
